Cochlear implant

Cochlear implant is a electronic instrument which is implanted surgically for the person whose hearing loss is so much that hearing aids do not help much. This can be done for very young child even at the age of 12 months, after proper investigation and confirmed diagnosis. This is also being done for adult and older group person. In the case of young child cochlear implant surgery should be followed by proper auditory training and speech therapy.
